Terminal on Apple Mac OSX it is almost similar to the Terminal in Ubuntu, both use sudo su to log in as super user. Terminal Quake Style on dektop Linux, using applications Yakuake on the KDE desktop, and Guake on the Gnome desktop. on my ubuntu using yakuake. Using a terminal like this does shorten the time from the calling application using only a keyboard shortcut rather than clicking on an existing application on the desktop. On Mac OSX there is also a Quake style terminal but only requires a plugin to enable this style of Quake, Quake Style internal plugin is named Visor, and free use this plugin. Installation is very easy just copy directory Visor to the Visor library directory.
How to Install Terminal Visor On Mac OSx :
Download Visor here
Then extract Visor-2.2-84d1873.zip
$ Unzip Visor-2.2-84d1873.zip
The next step copy the file "Visor.bundle" into the directory ~ /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins
$ cp Visor.bundle /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins
Then restart your Terminal, and "Terminal Quake Style" is already running.
To use the Short Cut Visor Calling, press the Option key 2x to configure the Visor.
